A Benefit Gala for the Sustainable Food Center

Event Description

It is our pleasure to invite you to Día de los Muertos: A gala to benefit the Sustainable Food Center! This morbidly glamorous evening will be hosted by Ecopocalypse and NextFest. 

 

Come taste food from ten of the most innovated local restaurants!

Witness Austin's first chef competition and see the skills, talents and tricks of your favorite local chefs while they compete against each other with a mystery box of food!

In addition, there will be a phenomenal guest speaker, fun fall cocktails, a tantalizing silent auction and an exclusive gala swag bag as we celebrate Austin's vibrant local foodies scene with a fun fall theme based on the international holiday, Dia de los Muertos!

 

Who is this gala benefitting?

All proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction will benefit the Sustainable Food Center of Austin. The SFC is currently in a fundraising campaign for their unique new permanent location. This new site will include a training center and community garden for teaching. The SFC is an Austin-based nonprofit with a mission to cultivate a healthy community by strengthening the local food system and improving access to nutritious, affordable food to all.

Who is Ecopocalypse?

Ecopocalypse is comprised of a team of driven, ambitious and passionate entrepreneurs. We are all graduates of the Acton School of Business and have started several small businesses before founding Ecopocalypse. 

Ecopocalypse is a post-apocalyptic haunted house that will be launching this October at the Coppertank Event Center. The theme is a future Austin where life as we're currently familiar with is vastly different. We have brought incredibly talented and creative people together to help us build the scariest event to come to downtown Austin in a long time!
